NATIONAL COUNCIL OF SCIENCE MUSEUMS, INDUCTION OF TRAINEE (COMPUTER) & TRAINEE (LIBRARY)

AT NCSM (HQRS.), KOLKATA

Applications are invited from recently passed out / fresh eligible candidates with the following qualification and criteria :

Trainee : (Computer) - 01 No.

Trainee : (Library) - 01 No.

Stipend @ Rs.16,500/- per month (Consolidated)

Educational Qualification 1) Trainee (Computer) 

i) 3 years Diploma course in computer Science or NIELIT ‘A’ (erstwhile DOEACC ‘A’) level Diploma/ Information Technology from a duly recognized Institution or Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) / Computer Science.

     ii) The candidate should be well conversant in the following areas :- 

    a)  Programming in Visual Basic, C, Flash, Animate, MS Access etc.

    b)  Networking and Network configuration.

    c)  Installation of OS & application software.

2) Trainee (Library) 

i) Bachelor degree in Library & Information Science or Diploma in       Librarianship after graduation in Science from a duly recognized     University.

ii) Knowledge of KOHA Software.

Duration of Traineeship For Trainee (Computer): One year (Extendable by one more year based on the skill developed by the incumbent and functional requirement of the centre).

For Trainee (Library): 1 (one) year, which may be extended for a further period of one year, subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent & functional requirement of NCSM.

The envelope should clearly superscribe “Application for engagement of Trainee (Computer) or Trainee (Library)” as the case may be. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as disqualification. Personal/ interim inquiries will not be entertained. There is absolutely no job guarantee after the traineeship is over.
